i’m always making something… then for a while when I lost everything including my self and my brain. I ran, disappeared very well and tried to pick up the pieces, restrain neural pathways
details are hazy but opening up notebooks from the time, I found fragrances of evidence, oil pastel drawings, sketches, & poetry which is both confessional and rhyming (not usually my hallmark), then later, developed 35 mm film from a sardine can Lomo camera
somewhere along the way everything, well many things came together and wholly unexpected and holy ways
as such, a preview of “advocate: vanish now and again” a folio or broadsheet or chapbook or zine – whichever you prefer, printed on 135 g archival paper, A3 8 panel, full mixed media with lettraset, all sorts of paper, photos, cloth, watercolour, to go along with the poetry and photos… and the split verso is a poster of a remixed wood-cut style illustration of a photo of a tableau from my bed in a small room – the location where the original materials materialized exists in clues and that’s enough for all of us now isn’t it, you are very clever and we’ll figure it out
custom artisan offset printed and scored by @bitokkou in Bizen, Okayama on 135g matte, off-white Van Nuovo paper stock, made in Japan. cut, folded, numbered and embossed + packed by me in the beloved kura barn studio
50 copies only (reserving three for myself #AlwaysBeArchiving) hand-finished, numbered and signed with a separate colophon card featuring a rendering of my clinic room on watercolor paper for you to finish yourself – all packed in a gorgeous envelope, addressed with nip-tip and ink, with various stamps both postal and ink
