Ambient “space cruise” around generally Oslo area of Norway by boat, trains and car. That’s it. No narration, action, plot, theme or whatever, just dig the views and ride along. Sound is “as-is” aside form Ilgudin Trio (from Russia, recorded live in Ubud, Indonesia) added whilst in the car. Roll on. That’s it.
Thanks to Mathias and Harald Olson for the footage – wasn’t me).
When I was growing up, Dad often spoke of his Chevy Malibu SS – his favourite car.So, while on his death bed, I asked him to tell the story. He speaks about acquiring the vehicle, the budget, the deal, the financing terms and oh, also about the car and how he enjoyed having a reliable and cool vehicle as a young married man creating a life, after growing up poor in Regina, Saskatchewan, then heading off to BYU in Utah. The story is interrupted by a nurse bringing lunch and news. He died 10 days later.
These Olson boys don’t need much of an excuse to put on some goofy outfits. In this case, it was a church car rally, the competitors didn’t know what they were up against: a painted Datsun wagon and some sort of mutated nautical theme.
Not high points for consistency or accuracy, but we didn’t need that as we dominated and won the trophy which still sits proudly at someone’s house.
