Home from the Olson O-bon Onsen Ocean journey, readjusting to “normal life” of laundry, medical appointments, schedules, unpacking and all the rest of it…
Anyway, scatterbrained and disorganized, I dig into some anecdotes of collections from the trip, stories from Noto and Nagano, musings from museums of dinosaurs, aliens, poet and a variety pack at the lake
And a rundown of swims, hot springs and other situations & experience with my travelling duo with six kinds of coffee, two coffee makers, three scrapbooks, always on the lookout for benches and shade
So comes stories of calligraphy collected at Zen temples, a 7 inch record from an antique dealer – well, he also sold shaved ice and Sony cassette recording walkman. a recorder, camera and drum from Steve, a discussion of trees with Hongo sensei and the difference between usefulness, used versus abundant, prolific, versatile and holy onto them selves
Maybe after this I’ll fold laundry, open up letters and postcards or finish up scrapbooks but I’m just not there yet
