Post Office stroll, with park bench postcard chitchat

Stopping on a bench (at a sad lil park on a lovely day on a rare trip out for me of late) to riff about a batch of postcards heading out into the world, hopefully 1 for you.

Most are from the “Slow Fraser” trip to Vancouver and area in July and August with poses of Ichiro looking so cool at baseball games, with whale skeletons, giant food plates, and yup, buncha me doing my “This ain’t my first apocalypse” spiel on stage at the planetarium with hat and pedicure.

i do love a park bench even when the park is a bit bleak. Great libraries and universities in Okayama but not so much on the parks and playgrounds but i keep trying to effectuate positive change in my community

Includes stories about a few folks who are more “public” like the Lawrence-Barber family, James Lester (+ Cameron and Kemp) at Sons of Vancouver, brother James at UBC museum (lotta Olson family history on that campus), my new Misasa postcard for Larry sensei, so on and such as…

please don’t look as you might find how i spread kindness by sharing snaps of ummm myself (and image all th epotal workwers notice and roll their eyes)

plus importantly a big dossier of Canada and bit of USA postal artifacts and ephemera including postcards of post office at Fort Langley, Ichi-stan mailing a card back to his pre-school class from a Canada Post post box (meta meta ha), various stick on style stamps, bundled in an olden pre-stamped Quebec envelope (.$45CAD)with a letter thanking them for kind help (which is only half-true yet i do try).

postal ephemera packet for postal workers at my local post office showing photos of post offices and my kid mailing postcards from post boxes and stamps and such

Typhoons lately but a sunny day, i rock a hat and sunglasses and trying not to think about my recent collasal life admin project now submitted nor all the hosptial visits but do share my claendar diary book in which i keep lists of all sorts.

such lovely cards for special purposes which won’t be discussed here #peace
