Today I remembered:

- Old busted knives can be sharp again, fresh handles sometimes need cut off and new ones just banged on when the fit is right
- When you need help with old knives, find a elder dude who knows what he’s doing even if doesn’t look like it (check fingers)
- There’s always a reason for a phone call, even when the phone doesn’t work – you can ring me
- It’s more fun when you can match match match, And roll with a bit of flair (in this case to a big band jazz festival)
& When he sticks his tongue out, ‘you’ stick your tongue out too

{Not pictured: read Tintin in Japanese, fine café with bricca brac, art layered on top of art spanning decades but connected with styles, curate the records records & books, benches best from single chunks of wood, Lithuanian linen scraps, hats from Chums and Carhart, sodas in glass bottles, coffee from Hawaii, ancient temples next to shabby factories}

Addendum: The kid cuts his mom’s hair with the focus of a samurai, helps dad choose his necktie and belt (and then makes entirely unrelated poop jokes till it hurts, and then he cries when we don’t all fit in a picture but then we bought a pineapple which is bigger than his head)
