After a long hot soak with some unexpected (and usually not-allowed) colourful characters, sitting outside with a statue commemorating the Buddhist warrior monk and the white wolf dog – who somehow together whilst saving each other – revealed this Hot Springs source… I talk about a visit to Misasa shrine, asking for blessings In my quest to be a great husband and papa, and getting healthy in order to do so, while drinking Kanpo medicine tea made with the radon-infused hot water source, doubling as an erstwhile rhythm section
Plus my usual big questions about “what comes next” and reminding myself of the key objectives of my life, and having a few laughs while break into an off-key version “My Favourite Chords” by The Weakerthans, with a bit of usual improvisation while assisted by a delicious orange keeping the papers from flying away

PS And, my recent blues about no one to chat with sparked a few conversations with good fellas in the 46° bath, an interesting bowl of Ramen with ¥1000 coupon, three ladies had a coffee and produce shop (alas no oranges or croissants on offer), and returning to my HQ talking medical situation with the proprietor, who is celebrated 67th birthday today, and a couple of sweet lady guests
