Feeling a little spun out, hardly unusual, so give up on "getting tasks done" to enjoy present moment with ukulele and Chinese medicine tea and talk about:
* seasonal tradition and expectations doesn't have to be quite so much, right;
* mild obsession with checking off lists and a tying bows on tasks;
* tips for meeting folks by talking about hobbies and giving compliments;
* conundrums of loneliness and how to work around with kindness and initiation;
* feeling depleted when Endocrine system &/or brain is faulty-ish;
* recent tea ceremony at Korakuen garden with young traveling houseguest;
* doing "cool" poses on a wooden bridge and snapping photos for strangers;
* my "cheap and cheerful" Baritone Ukulele (you should get one);
* having high tolerance for ambiguity but struggles with messes and chaos;
* upcoming double hospital visits and Santa Claus gigs;
* more singing and more festive eventing with the aim of giving kindness and being part of community.
And a bit of an impromptu original song about lost lovers, forgotten teachers and letters tied up with red yarn in a cedar trunk
Also: Hat-tip to Gai-Pod Collective, especially Riki @PaprikaGirl_JP and Kurt @softypapa for recent inspiration and advice (and reminding me of my own advice) and TT for sending me a much needed compliment (legend! like half TinTin and half Sasquatch)
Fond thoughts for my brothers on "convergence" of passing of Mom and Dad's birthday, and letting you know that i'm proud of you for pushing on even though things can get tough around this time of year around this sorta world
