before rocking the stage, a few notes about representing for the non-union Santa dudes, this time in Tsuchida community centre (the old one) with chit chat about pre-school gig, props and accordions
i’ve got a compass, a pocket watch, used up the last of my beard oil, second gig this week (previously preschool, this time community center) various accessories, new jokes, Japanese vocabulary added, my belt is made for a kilt and clipped on upside down, solid base layers, looking to being good vibes and also not freak the kids out that I’m carrying a key to their house

There will be hot cocoa, with marshmallows cause we’re fancy, special cookies (not that kind of special), candy canes and gifts (leftover Halloween bags), and heck even accordion music by Ryoko, who grandfather Ichiro also played accordion as evidence by a black-and-white photo on the wall with a band in 1947, heck of a year in Japan (he was a Morse code operator relay between Hiroshima and points North/east during the war, some interesting days no doubt

Anyway, year five of doing Santa Claus… This time determine not to get any colds and flu, no sitting on lap except for my own kid, kids stand a respectful distance away, I give them an option of various poses for photos. Did I mention I made coloring book pages? (robot assisted but awsum)
