Come hang out in my bedroom while i’m a little bit loopy from a pre-birthday busted foot and chit-chat about postcards, missing stair landings, hospital visits, cancelled vacations, and piglet cakes (that’s a cake with a piglet decoration).
Postcards came from: my darling wife and adorable son, an unsecret agent in Virginia Beach, a youthful artist in Vancouver, Acorn Cottage and Newcastle UK, Gifu via Vernon, biscuits from Fukushima, Richard Brautigan enthusiast inquiring about Nick Bantock, a Postcrossing member, a few mysterios, a Mass lit scholar on Cape Cod, a birthday twin in Germany, and a generational media philosopher, and others I forgot.
Plus riffs about the O-bon holiday to celebrate ancestors, more about the book “Toot and Puddle” gifted from a friend from Boise via Utah, a recent whole life story pod interview on the Just Japan podcast, plus a montage of postal “Still Lifes” in situ and other tidbits for fun while Clayton the Seabus busker plays The Replacements “Skyway” field recorded circa 2009.
{All my projects and equipment are in the Kura barn so I fumble through with available materials meaning many other cards are out in the Kura with steep steps so if your is missed, that is why. I’m doing my best :)}
