Pardon brevity: busy times there! (years past much more mellow) but we visited our friends The Hosokawas [kiln firing, studio visit] and of course, Ryoko made a special purchase :) we also ran into some friends and enjoyed matcha together (natch in Bizen cups at a shrine torii gate) and bought some rice from a friend whilst i neglected to buy a massive coffee cup – we’ll plan better next time, maybe

Bonus: After visit to Bizen pottery fest turned into more hours than expected, swung by Ryoko’s tea sensei’s home to tend to a task // past teatime, she quickly tabled a charming meal for 3 of us, played with #io, all while still rocking kimono + seasonal arrangement in her genkon
