“Beat Scene” book full of photographs (by Burt Glin), letters, and artifacts from poets, hitchhikers, and renegades {which leads to a riff about the importance of documenting a “scene” name Charles Peterson, Steve Rappport, Bev Davies, Chris Suspect & Kris Krug}

Plus:

  • Table game based on the 1970s TV program “All in the Family” (likely to be mixed into a scrapbook)
  • Signed records from blues-rockers Big Sugar, mono-whales (matte-finished gatefold with coloured vinyl!) plus albums by legends Mendelson Joe, Dave Bromberg, Blind Faith & CDs of some undoubtedly experimental creations
  • “Howl Brothers” signed translucent green 7″ – for promotional use only (a project by the Rheostatics performing as characters in the movie “Whale Music”)
  • Letter-press style ink stamp kit
  • Hang ‘Em High – DVD of a not-spaghetti western
  • Variety of ticket stubs from Motörhead, Chilliwack, and others
  • A batch of hotel stationery (for poetry substrates)
  • Carious postcards, stickers, a wooden laser etching of a geodesic dome (hello Buckminster Fuller), and postcards calling for postcards for a postcard art exhibit :-)
  • Captain Hooter’s guide to coffee shops in Amsterdam {and Yep, stories about visits there in 1992, 2002, 2005, etc.} and other hemp activist-related brochures, flyers, ‘zines {and Yep, stories about activism of the very grassroots kind}
  • “Fungus the bogeyman” children’s book, or is it a children’s book :-)?
  • Evidence of a photo book from our visit to Geodesic Wonderland (which now lives at Ichiro’s *spaceship*)

Plus a spontaneous birthday bag from the kindly master of a small café near the hospital featuring a Chopin CD, and some sweet die-cut rock and roll stickers from Megacurve (Kyoto via Australia, or is that vice versa?)

And other items which deserve mentioning which I may have overlooked because I’m about to make shepherd’s pie in the kitchen and no one ever reads the description anyway
