Left hat in m-i-l’s car (dropped me off en route to table tennis) so my fwa-fwa hair gives me full mad scientist vibes

Gosh, the staff/nurses are so incredibly skilled so today was rather rare but had a mishap getting the spike into my arm, required a couple of tries. First time ever for that. They apologized 75 times. All good, wrapped it up tightly / looks like long wait for next checkpoint
Let’s have a simple lunch (not enough time for my usual place across the streets… but there are several restaurants embedded in the hospital)
Fast forward: finished at the hospital and now riding bus to collapse at home
moved metaphorical checkers along the board a few spaces / next round of appointments December 22 with 3 different depts/doctors
Prescriptions dropped at pharmacy to be couriered
I’m shaking from all the activity.
I always take a memo to try to hit all the discussion points with the doctor but come home a little bewildered about my success rate and communicating next steps etc.
Like my brain fragments and crashes
Yup on bus headng home / zombie mode but hit all the marks and lined up next circuits.
Aside: Ryoko often goes with me and drives but she's up to her eyelids with catching up on work right now. Stanley is at preschool.
Even in zombie mode, I'm pretty good at doing all the routines.
Drop off prescriptions at the pharmacy and they know that I am a bit of a wreck after all the injections so they send everything over by courier in the next day or two.
If any questions, they hop on a video call with me and wife. I can do the check out from the hospital by an app.
And all the nurses and admin staff keep an eye on me because I bring them presents (and I am vaguely amusing and oddly charming - ha ha)
Oh pals, I’m home!
Darling wife is out in the back 400 land running her wood chipper. She’s got blueberry bushes to plant as well as some trees.
Took me all of 5 minutes to switch to pajamas and fire up the bath to 42°, and make sure there’s wood to spark up a fire later.
Firing up the weekend!
(Question: is that something someone who has a job and understands the concept of a weekend would say?)
