Earthen walls, creator collective, holiday schemes and busted foot dreams – Dave Olson's Creative Life Archive

Earthen walls, creator collective, holiday schemes and busted foot dreams

come sit with me and wait for the parade to roll by

Hanging out in a shady place with baritone ukulele waiting for kids to go by collecting for the festival, I riff a general life update about:

  • the earth wall international work party
  • bus rides to hospitals (some good progress on the busted foot) and coffee shops art gallery
  • price of postage and plans about New Year cards
  • something about Christmas dinner
  • importance of doing my basics of dishes laundry tea rice bath to support my remarkable wife and incredible kid
  • my ongoing creative life archive archiving (dispatches from Palau, Yap, Guam, Jamaica, Belize, the long hair club, Pacific blue drum Corps and so much more…)

& *Importantly* attempting to curb my perfectionist tendencies and clearing out the hard drives (i.e.:  gather up what you got, put it all together, had a little blurb, put a title on it and hit publish), with the aim spending more time in my barn studio in analog form and finishing the “last 5% which is the hardest 95%” of so many projects next year mixing written, visual and audio storytelling

all of this winds-down with special “hallos” to the collective of creative makers in Japan I’ve fallen in with including Kevin, John, Tracy, Jeff, Kurt & especially Riki who shares so much Japan cultural knowledge from her engawa #gaijinpodcastcollective

[I’ll drop links to all of the above at some point but right now I’m outside]
